The Roost Retreat

The Roost Retreat is a comfortable cosy and quiet holiday annexe, located in Leeming Bar on the Gateway to Lower Wensleydale on the base to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Our characteristic little bolthole is an eco-conversion of a former agricultural building. It has been beautifully restored, retaining the original beam with high ceiling, creating away-from-the-ordinary self-catering accommodation. The property also benefits from its own separate kitchenette, private outside patio area with a barbeque (fire pit on request). There is off-road private, level and secure parking alongside the accommodation and a large enclosed front garden and complimentary Wi-Fi, exclusive to guests for their stay duration.

The Roost Retreat sleeps up to two guests, it perfect for couples and solo lady travellers who are looking for safe and secure accommodation. Business guests and solo contractors are also welcome, there is a work space for a laptop and Smart TV with streaming channels (Amazon Prime, Netflix, IPlayer, YouTube).

We are dog friendly with up to two small dogs are accepted. Motorcyclists, cyclists and classic car owners also very welcome. We are less than a minute walk from the Wensleydale Heritage Railway and the wonderfully restored Leeming Bar station. The property and location are very convenient for a member of the event crew to stay for the duration of the Polar Express event.  Our accommodation is self-contained and guests have the whole place to themselves!  Weekends, short and long breaks are available all year round.
