`Spring’ into Spring at The Roost Retreat, North Yorkshire

It has been some time since our last blog news, with Christmas and January now a distant memory. The clocks have gone forward and now officially into Spring. It is lovely to finally wake up to the light mornings, longer evenings and the spring flowers now flourishing.  We have been very pro-active preparing The Roost Retreat ready for the 2025 season. The main annexe and the kitchenette have benefitted from a complete revarnish, we have added new bedding plants and a parasol for sunny days sitting outside on the patio with a barbeque. It now looks very smart!

Following some very useful guest feedback, we have recently installed a lattice fence between the kitchenette and the bay window which is part of our own residence. It has made this area more private for both our guests and ourselves and have added some climbing plants to grow up and around the latticework. Coming soon is a small sofa to replace the tub chairs in the living/bedroom area, giving better seating and will create a cosy area to snuggle up in front of the TV!

To follow later this year are new up-to-date photos, both inside and out as we have changed around, added and replaced a number of furnishings.
